A new Gallup survery, based on interviews with over 121,000 people, is estimating that 3.4 percent of American adults are identifying themselves as either lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender. This study is the largest ever at attempting to calculate the United States' LGBT population. The data also revealed that there are larger proportions of nonwhites and less wealthy people identifying themselves as LGBT then previously believed.
