According to Census, Incomes Fall as the Number of Poor in the U.S. Hold Steady

According to government data and the Census Bureau, the 2011 poverty rate was 15 percent, statistically unchanged from 15.1 percent in 2010. Now, 46.2 million Americans are living in poverty.  Not much has changed from the prior year.  The data from the Census Bureau also showed the 2011 median U.S. income fell 1.5 percent from 2010.  Moreover, Americans are lacking health insurance - another key indicator economic sustainability.
