The pension bill, unveiled by Governor Jerry Brown on Tuesday, cuts some of the most generous public employee retirement benefits.  After months of talks with fellow Democrats, this reform will raise the retirement age and reduce benefits for new employees. There are many supporters of the plan that call it a first step in the right direction to fixing the pension deficit.
