Noam Chomsky is a veteran of the civil rights, anti-war, and anti-intervention movements of the 1960s through the 1980s, but he has not just been watching the Occupy movement. This does not mean he is not in full support of this movement though. He has given lectures at Occupy Boston and talked with occupiers across the US showing that he is impressed by the spontaneous, cooperative communities some Occupy encampments created. A new publication from the Occupied Media Pamphlet Series has brought several of his lectures together.

Interesting point about how our candidates are vetted by capitalists, while far east candidates vetted by religious leaders. Perhaps they have the better system, really. I believe our candidates should be vetted not only for their qualifications (expertise needed for the job), but also for their moral values. This seems to be one of the major problems of our electoral system. Meanwhile, it is important to note the real moral deficit of our presidents: See Crimes of our Presidents for which they should be impeached via: http://bit.ly/IZF2W2

This is absolutely one of the best Chomsky interviews I've seen. Talk about HD thoughts and questions! In this one interview he nails corporatism to the wall for all to see reveals the anti-human core of what's now regarded as "markets". Have some patience, spend a quiet 2o or so minutes, and really learn something!

As always, professor Chomsky is more than enlightening. Thanks Laura and Free Speech TV.
