The documents that the CIA released Tuesday were declassified documents dating from 1992 to 2004.  Most pertinent and sensitive information was heavily blacked out, and offered little insight about what the US knew regarding al-Qaida plot prior to 2001.  Much of which is cited in the 9/11 Commission report stated that the 9/11 attack was the failure to connect the dots, and lack of imagination.
