The Syrian army is shelling the neighborhoods surrounding Damascus where rebels are operating, the heaviest bombardment in the capital since the army reasserted control last month.  More than 40 people were killed in the shelling, which included attacks from helicopters, and in ground raids on the Kfar Souseh, Daraya, Qadam and Nahr Aisha neighborhoods.
