England to Allow Gay Clergy Become Bishops

The Church of England voted to lift the ban against gay clergy who live with their partners from becoming bishops if they vow to remain celibate. “The House has confirmed that clergy in civil partnerships, and living in accordance with the teaching of the Church on human sexuality, can be considered as candidates for the episcopate,” Graham James, the Bishop of Norwich, said, according to Aljazeer.
