Europe’s Young Pursue Dreams Abroad

Because of education spending cuts and Spain's downward economic spiral, many are looking elsewhere for education. Britain, France, the Netherlands or Germany are places many young men and women from Spain are looking to get his or her Ph.D. or work at a company that lets him or her do research. With Spain's unemployment rate for people under 25 at an astonishing 53 percent, young Spaniards are leaving the country in droves to carve out a brighter future.

It is just a matter of time before America's young people leave in droves. Professors are encouraging students to look abroad for graduate schools and jobs.
