Farmers Left Out to Dry by Congress

A catastrophic drought has the federal government pandering for a means to designate over half of the nation's counties as disaster areas. Congress has yet to act and prove itself capable of making anything happen in the wake of the nation's historic drought disaster. Large or small, farmers just sit waiting for some type of relief as the cost of feeding their animals has grown too much to make a profit. Now, the Senate has closed down for the rest of August as the nation continues to dry up.

Many of the farmers with failed crops and economic distress because of the drought voted Republican so they politically support going out of business and facing foreclosure and an upheaval in their lives, and I doubt that anything will get them to change and start voting intelligently.

I will bet most of these farmers crops are Monsanto's GMO corn, alfalfa, soy etc.....so to them I say GOOD I am glad your crops died. Stop your idiotic use of these GMO's and go back to real farming with real seeds. You do not need to be sell-out whores for these evil corporations.
