Syria's commercial capital Aleppo has rebels battling with government forces.  Syrian foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem said the rebels "will definitely be defeated." This announcement was made Sunday in a joint news conference with Iranian foreign minister Ali Akbar Salehi.  Salehi warned that, if President Bashar al-Assad fell, the the consequences "would engulf the region and eventually the whole world."
