Gulf Coast Senators Ask Obama to Ensure BP Spill Deal is Fair

The U.S. Justice Department and BP Plc have discussed a potential settlement for damages caused by the worst offshore oil spill in US history.  Both to the Gulf waters and the coastline, which could be worth billions of dollars those states still trying to recover from the repercussions of the massive spill.

Gulf coast governors and senators bitched when president Obama asked that the offending companies put up a 25 million dollar fund to pay for damages to the gulf. Now the same governors and senators want president Obama to get more money from companies that caused the disaster. Gulf coast states take the advice your political leaders often tell others "pull your self up by your boot straps and stop asking the government for money."
