Gun Advocates Believe Congress Won’t Pass New Gun Bill

The bids to ban assault weapons and high capacity ammunition as way to gun control in the U.S. doesn’t look to be a favorable bill that will pass through Congress. Many Democrats believe it will have a “difficult time” in a Republican-controlled House of Representatives and therefore, Biden will go back to President Obama with different recommendations.

Congress will do nothing

Congress will do nothing about gun laws because this issue belongs primarily to the states. Separation of powers clause reserves gun regulation to the states.
