House Approves $50.5 Billion in Federal Aid for Sandy Victims

While legislation has been bickering about the U.S. deficit and “fiscal cliff” drama, a bill to help aid victims of Superstorm Sandy was hugely delayed. But on Tuesday, The House approves a $50.5 billion aid package to rebuild New York and New Jearsey’s coastline and other areas effected by the natural disaster.
