Keeping Dark Money in the Dark

The conservative nonprofit, Crossroads GPS has been dishing out tens of millions of dollars on anti-Obama ads.  Politico recently called Crossroads, “the ATM of the Right.”  New tax records show, Crossroads gave $4 million to Grover Norquist’s Americans for Tax Reform and $500,000 to former Sen. Norm Coleman’s American Action Network.  $2.75 million was also handed out to the Center for Individual Freedom, known for its aggressive strategies aimed at knocking out disclosure laws at the state level.  Crossroads GPS is struggling to keep their activities in the dark by paying off other groups to silence their deeds.
