Media to Blame for Misinforming Public about Newtown Shooting
After the massacre took place in Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., early reports from law enforcement officials wrongfully named Ryan Lanza as the alledged gunman. Authorities and journalists from all different news broadcasts were quick to located him on Facebook and evetually link his profile to tweets and other online reports. Inundated with nasty mesages and timeline posts to his Facebook profile, Ryan Lanza turned out to be the wrong person. He responded on Facebook through status updates informing reporters that it wasn't him.
