Obama’s Lead Over Romney Grows

Americans are increasingly pessimistic about the future but voters do not seem to be holding it against Democratic President Barack Obama. He has slightly expanded his lead over Republican rival Mitt Romney this month. Three months before the November 6 presidential election, nearly two-thirds of Americans think the country is moving in the wrong direction. Obama's lead over Romney among registered voters was 49 percent to 42 percent.
