But when real people without money assemble to express their dissatisfaction with the political consequences of this, they’re treated as public nuisances and evicted.”

Voting is NOT the only thing that matters and I'm afraid the young people who supported Pres. Obama are very disillusioned, and with good reason. It takes more than someone of good intentions (if you believe the President is one) in this lopsided money speaks, corporations-are-people society. I have only once in my long life missed an election, but I, too, am beginning to think it's not enough and I hope the Occupy movement works on getting a voice for the 99%.

I'm a huge Robert Reich fan, but he's wrong on this one. He's just stating the obvious without any suggestions about how we can change it. We have lots of power; we just don't use it. No matter how much money is in the system, the only thing that counts is how many votes somebody gets. Why do we let money speak? In the end, organizing and GETTING OUT "OUR" VOTERS IS THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS. Let's just do it and quit whining because people with money are winning because we are too lazy to win!

First of all the 1% are not people. They are sociopaths. They lie, manipulate, steal, kill, torture and destroy economies all over the world. Sociopaths behavior is antisocial and they lack a sense of moral responsibility or social conscience. Lets quit calling them people. The way to defeat the enemy is to know the enemy. STOP SPENDING OUR BILLIONS OF DOLLARS AND WATCH WHAT HAPPENS.
Greedy global companies will be shocked and not know what to do.
Wall Street, the oil barons, corporate fat cats, stockholders, executives, marketers, retailers, politicians, and President Obama, will be asking us, the 99%, what we want!
