Same-Sex Couples Wed Outside Seattle City Hall on Sunday

More than 100 same-sex couples filled Seattle City Hall and exchanged vows as the state of Washington, along with Maine and Maryland, became the first to allow marriage between same-sex couples by an overwhelming popular vote in last month's election. And nothing would get in their way as many waitied outside in the drizzling rain and cold tempuratures as hundreds of supports gathered around to watch the ceremonies. This is said to be “a leap forward for gay rights.”
