Question 7: the $620 million figure has to be wrong According to this file: http://www.ssa.gov/policy/docs/statcomps/supplement/2009/4a.pdf the amount paid out in 2008 was over $500 billion. I still think the amount spent on the military is horrendous.
I can't find verification on the $620 million to be spent on old age social security benefits. The figure I found was $671 billion. Can anyone help? $620 million does sound too low.

I'm disgusted by these neo-cons who keep parroting "Occupiers are lazy kids and just want hand-outs paid for by producers" It must be nice to sit in a cozy house patting themselves on the back while thousands of Americans go hungry and homeless having been laid-off. I guess those workers (mostly baby boomers) who were laid-off never paid taxes? I guess those 'lazy kids' never graduated college?
Will mr. neo-con finally wake up when his house loses 70% of its value because all his neighbors have been forced out by banks.. there are no more mom & pop stores on main street, no art galleries, and libraries & parks are shut down? Or will he 'come to jesus' when his front door gets kicked down by a hungry mob.. because no one can afford food or shelter anymore.

The stock conservative response to the poverty problem in the US is that "poverty" really isn't poverty. In other words, we are using the word when it's really not REAL poverty.
The stock conservative response to not being able to afford a one bedroom apartment on minimum wage is that if you can't afford your own place, have roommates. And if you still can't afford it, work two jobs.
Just thought I'd pas those along.

Why don't these questions surprise you? I don't see the answers anywhere (either for this quiz or for the US- abrogation of Citizen vs United would be a start and campaign finance reform and then of course there's....)
