Despite Social Security's long-term problems, the massive retirement and disability program could be preserved for generations to come. Modest but politically difficult changes to benefits or taxes, or a combination of both would possibly be what Social Security needs. Some options could affect people quickly. Increasing payroll taxes or reducing annual cost-of-living adjustments for those who already get benefits could be quick solutions.

Republicans are social Darwinists and want Social Security privatized so Wall Street banksters can steal it like they have with so many private pension funds.

Eliminate the Social Security taxable income cap of $106,800.00 and force billionaires and millionaires to pay FICA taxes on every penny of their income like the peons are forced to do -- Social Security will be solvent forever.
