Dear Readers,

Recently we appealed to you in order to help raise funds for the protesters in New York City and Washington DC. After an inspiring outpouring of support we’re proud to say that not only did we reach our goal of $5,000, we surpassed it to a remarkable amount of $6,500. This success could have not happened without your contribution to the campaign.

While our senior staff was on the front-line in Zuccotti Park last week, our team met up with organizers from the “Comfort” area of the Occupy Community in order to build a working list of immediate needs. Once their priorities were established, we set out to work with local retailers that could provide assistance in our efforts to help locate adequate quantities of the supplies needed.

In addition, we coordinated with the October 2011 movement in order to purchase additional supplies for the protesters in Washington DC. As each protest is different, we found that the requirements for each group varied. As theses movements grow, so does the demand for essential elements and food supplies for these groups. The following items were recorded from our master list of supplies purchased, as a direct result from your help:

New York City Protesters

  • Thermal Shirts ($310.00)
  • Thermal Bottoms ($310.00)
  • Weather Proof Jackets ($600.00)
  • Polar Fleece Hooded Sweaters ($900.00)
  • Heavy Weatherproof Overcoats ($520.00)
  • Floor Coverage Mats ($100.00)
  • Razors ($105.00)
  • Tweezers/ Nail Clippers ($120.00)
  • Feminine Products ($75.00)
  • Toothbrushes / Toothpastes ($110.00)

Washington DC Protesters

  • Food ($900.00)
  • Tarps and Plastic Sheeting ($200.00)
  • Office Supplies ($200.00)
  • Kitchen and Cleaning Supplies ($250.00)
  • 250 Hours Bandwidth for Livestreaming ($1,000.00)
  • Printing Fliers for Outreach and Actions ($750.00)
  • Mifi Wireless Internet Unit ($100.00)

Our sincere appreciation goes out to you for helping us work tirelessly for change in our country. NationofChange is committed to supporting activism, fiscally and materially. With targeted campaigns to raise needed funds and supplies for grassroots causes, we empower our readers to support, share, and celebrate the power of the people’s movements.

Thank you for all that you do.

Respectfully Yours,
Rebecca Buell, Executive Director,

Donna Luca, Board President, and the NationofChange Team

Theodore Ziolkowski has waaay too much time on his hands. Way too much. Declare English the language of the US? Are you kidding me? Who is trying to change that? NO ONE, that's who. Only the paranoid schizo types like you, Thee O Dore! You sound like the typical right winger fear mongering, racist idiot.

Your efforts sound admirable, and the articles you post are good choices. But I have heard you simply took Brave New World Films' e-mail list, and you provide no background information on your director, chairman or board members. Please reassure us that Nation of Change is not a scam.

When the corporations and the government team up and declare war on the 99% it is only natural and self defense to defend your self. Support OWS with money and actions before it is to late.

The United States of America's Second Revolution.
Written by: Theodore (Ted-Zee-Man) Ziolkowski

Come on people, get real, how many of you expected the present Media from both Radio and Television or their counterparts in the Printed Media to accurately report on this Occupy Wall Street movement??? After all, how do these Media outlets make their money? I believe it is called Advertisement which they must sell to the Executives of the Large Corporations, Companies, Institutions and for Profit Organizations. Therefore; the Media outlets just like our Elected Politicians have sold their Souls and support, to the "Rich and Powerful" Individuals, Corporations, Companies, Institutions and for Profit Organizations. They will only report what their Owners and Advertisers tell them to report.

What single thing is it that the 1% of the "Rich and Powerful" in the United states of America, fear the most out of the remaining 99% of the American Citizens?????

That the 99% will organize and join together in a united movement to stop the "Rich and Powerful" from Robbing us all blind, and get Fair and Equal Treatment from the Congress of the United States of America for the remaining 99% of the American Citizens!!!!! There is nothing else that makes them lay awake at night and worry about what "We the People" will do next.

The 99 Percent Occupy Wall Street Movement has been set off thanks to long-standing economic inequities and a recession caused primarily by Wall Street’s misdeeds, [Greed and Corruption.] Wall Street did not engage in reckless financial behavior which Plunged 64 million people worldwide into extreme poverty, in a vacuum. Our elected Congressional members assisted them by removing Laws and regulations.

In order to engage in these practices that brought the world’s economy to its knees, Wall Street had to make sure that the federal government based in Washington, DC would both de-regulate the financial industry (and provide lax oversight) and that Congress and the Federal Reserve would bail out banks with few strings attached if they were in danger of failing.

Getting the Federal reserve and the Treasury Department to support the Financial Institutions was a VERY EASY thing to do seeing as a large Majority of the people who work for the Federal Reserve and the Treasury Department have all been employed by the very Financial Instituions they now are to "Oversee and Regulate." And the Majority of these present Federal Employees in the federal Reserve and in the Treasury Department will return to the employment of the Financial Institutions when they leave their federal Governemnt Positions.

The way the financial industry and big banks won this kid glove treatment from the federal government is by occupying Washington, flooding it with campaign contributions, lobbyists, and its own staffers and executives to occupy key positions of power. ThinkProgress has assembled a rundown of three ways Wall Street has occupied Washington:

1.] Wall Street Occupies Washington with Massive Campaign Contributions: On Nov. 12, 1999 President Bill Clinton signed into law the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act of 1933, a Depression-era law that created a firewall between Commercial and Investment Banking.

Repealing this law was one of the top legislative goals of the financial industry. In the 1998 election cycle, commercial banks spent $18 million on congressional campaign contributions, with 65 percent going to Republicans and 35 percent going to Democrats. Securities and investment firms donated over $40 million. The mega-bank Citibank spent $1,954,191 during that cycle, and it was soon able to merge with Travelers Group as a result of the repeal of banking regulations. Between 2008 and 2010, when new financial regulations were being written following the financial crisis, the finance, insurance, and real estate industries spent $317 million in federal campaign contributions, with $73 million of that coming from Political Action Committees (PACs). The hold of campaign contributions is starkly bipartisan. As Sen. Jim Webb (D-VA) explained to Real Clear Politics in an interview last year, he couldn’t get a vote on a windfall profits tax on bonuses at bailed out banks due to campaign contributors. “I couldn’t even get a vote,” Webb explained. “And it wasn’t because of the Republicans. I mean they obviously weren’t going to vote for it. But I got so much froth from Democrats saying that any vote like that was going to screw up fundraising.”

2.] Wall Street Occupies Washington with Its Lobbyists: One way to control what Washington lawmakers do is to give them access to exclusive funding streams that allow them to finance their campaigns. But yet another is to control the stream of information. From the deregulatory period of 1998 to 2009, the financial sector spent $3.3 billion on lobbyists. In 2007, the financial industry employed 2,996 separate lobbyists, five for every member of Congress. During the debate over financial reform last year, the industry flooded the nation’s capital with its own lobbyists. On just one issue, regulating derivatives, financial industry lobbyists outnumbered consumer group lobbyists and other pro-reform advocates by 11 to 1. In fact, by 2010, the industry had hired a whopping 1,600 former federal employees as lobbyists. Included among these lobbyists were high-ranking former public leaders like former Democratic House Majority Leader Dick Gephardt (MO) and Kenneth Duberstein, Ronald Reagan’s chief of staff. Much of this lobbying is done through elite K Street firms that specialize in hiring government insiders. Yet there are also bank-funded front groups like the Chamber of Commerce that deploy lobbyists on behalf of the big banks.

3.] Wall Street Literally Occupies Washington By Placing Its Staff In Government Positions: Shortly after Clinton signed into law the repeal of the firewall between commercial and investment banking, his Treasury Secretary and Goldman Sachs alumni Robert Rubin left the government to work for newly-formed Citigroup, whose merger was only possible thanks to the policies Rubin championed and enacted. His compensation at Citigroup topped $15 million, not including stock options. Goldman’s alumni are found across the government, including bailout architect and former Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson, Paulson’s bailout chief Neil Kashkari, and Commodity Futures Trading Commission chairman Gary Gensler. The revolving door, of course, works both ways. Obama budget director Peter Orszag joined Citigroup shortly after leaving the government. This is just a small sampling of Wall Street’s staffers who found their way into government.

These three facets of lobbying do not include how these financial interests fan their funding out among nonprofits and think tanks, and how they fund media campaigns and public relations efforts within the parameters of the geographic territory of the District of Columbia. The amount of money spent on these tasks is likely formidable but is difficult to track.

There are reforms that can be enacted to combat this Wall Street infiltration of Washington. Ranging from public financing of federal campaigns to new disclosure laws to placing restrictions on lobbying from federal public officials, these reforms would blunt the impact of big money on federal policymaking. Yet only vigilance from the American public can get such reforms enacted.

It is easy to see that almost all official economic measures adopted since 1981 and contained in the following list have devastated the middle class while it has only helped the "Rich and Powerful 1.0%. The list includes:

1. The Reagan income tax cut of 1981 that benefited the rich, but made it necessary to sharply raise all other federal taxes, paid mostly by the poor and the middle class, to finance that tax cut.

2. Unenforced antitrust laws, leading to mergers among large and profitable firms while limiting New Companies entering the Business Field because of unfair playing field and killing high-paying jobs in numerous industries.

3. Permitting the oil industry mergers in the 1990s that are now preventing oil prices from falling in the middle of the worst slump since the 1930s. We also give subsidies to these very Oil Corporations.

4. Permitting relentless mergers among pharmaceuticals and health insurance companies, so that America, far more than any other nation, now spends almost 15 percent of its gross domestic product (GDP) on health care that is mediocre by European and Japanese standards.

5. Unchecked use of outsourcing that kills high-paying jobs in manufacturing and services. The USA actually provides subsidies to encourage outsourcing.

6. Ignoring the growth of the trade deficit that has destroyed our manufacturing base. The failure of Congress and the President to enact Tarrifs to protect our Manufacturing Companies.

7. The 1999 repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act under President Clinton that led to reckless lending by banks and an unprecedented housing bubble, which collapsed in 2007 to trigger the ongoing slump. Then President Bush orchestrated the $750 Billion Dollar TARP Bailout of the Wall Street Financial Institutions allowing the Executives of these Failed Financial and Insurance Institutions to get huge Bonuses.

8. The Bush tax cuts and bailouts that further benefited the rich while nearly doubling the government debt.

9. Finally, the decimation of the real minimum wage by President Reagan and other Republicans. (In 1981 the hourly minimum wage bought $8 worth of goods compared to $6 by the end of Reagan' presidency in 1988, and to mere $5.15 in 2006 under Bush.)

Looking at this nine-point list, is there any government program that a big business CEO would hate? Stated another way, is there any measure that has helped the middle class? I can't think of any. Thus, over the past three decades whatever the government did, ostensibly to help the people, actually ended up hurting them. Mergers, outsourcing and free trade raise productivity, but also lower wages, whereas the other provisions of the above list directly enrich the wealthy. The nine-point list is really a list of exploitation.

This nine-point list must be repealed or be done away with immediately.
Meanwhile, the Republicans divert public attention from their culpability in destroying a sound federal financial regulatory system and gifting Wall Street crooks with a platinum get-out-of-jail-free card. To listen to the GOP presidential candidates, the banking meltdown was caused by everyone except the bankers.

The next time you meet up with Republican apologists; ask them if they ever heard of Republican Phil Gramm, whose name is on the legislation that offered a blanket exemption from government regulation for the bank-concocted "securitization" of home mortgages into the collateralized debt obligations and credit default swaps that are at the heart of the world's economic crisis. And if you meet ex- Republican Sen. Gramm himself, ask him if he still thinks we are "a nation of whiners" for thinking there is a crisis, as he asserted when he was heading the Republican John McCain presidential campaign.

Compromise is what produced the government's nine-point list of measures described above. The Republicans were able to impose these measures whenever some Democrats compromised with them. When Reagan raised the gasoline tax and excise taxes in 1982, it was through the cooperation of the Democrats, who cooperated again in 1983 when Social Security and self-employment taxes went up sharply to pay for the massive income tax cut of 1981. The repeal of the Glass-Stiegel Act, the Bush tax cuts and bailout were all the handiwork of Republican lawmakers and compromising right-wing Democrats.

When a few brave souls decided to exercise their RIGHT to protest what they perceived to be inequities and injustices being perpetrated upon them and upon the other 99% of the American Citizens, When they marched on Wall Street, they may have just begun the Second Revolution within the United States of America.

Mahatma Ghandi once wrote that four steps take place during a Revolution or Protest and that they are: 1.] You are ignored. 2.] You are ridiculed. 3.] You are fought. 4.] You are Successful and Win.

When will "We the People" Demand Economic Justice for all?
When will we demand that the Financial Institutions pay for creating 25,000,000 new Jobs for American Citizens in the United States of America?

When will we get serious and stop supporting or start voting the stooges out of Elected Office that the "Rich and Powerful" paid to get elected and put into elected Office?

When will we make our Demands known to our elected Congressional members and Demand that they be made into the Law of the United States of America by our Elected Officials?

When will we Demand a Constitutional Amendment to prohibit the "Rich and Powerful" from having the ability for buying elections for those they support financially?

All the Amendment needs to do is clarify that an Individual is a Living Breathing Member of the Homo-Sapiens Species. Only Congress should have the ability and authority to place limits on who can make Contributions to a Political Party and to a Political Candidate. Only Congress should have the ability and authority to place limits on Who, What, Where, When and How a Contribution can be made to a Political Party or to a Political Candidate.

I recommend that all contributions should be made directly to the FEC with a stipulation as to which Political Party or to which Political Candidate it is to be given to. Then once a month the FEC should transfer the Contribution to the Political Party or the Individual Political Candidate anonymously, thereby eliminating the obligation a candidate might otherwise feel if they knew who it was that was support them Financially.

"WE THE PEOPLE" must grow this protest to include every member of the 99% to make ourselves heard Loud and Clear and as many of us that can possibly do so, need to Start listing our Wants and Needs that we want addressed by our Congressional Members and Posting them on the WebSites and Blogs that are being formed and presently exist.

"WE THE PEOPLE" must grow this protest by joining it and taking to the Streets in support of it. Then we need to advance the March from Wall Street New York City, NY and March on Washington, DC and the Congress of the United States of America. We need to expand our demonstrations to more than just the Financial Institutions; we must also include the Health and Life Insurance Companies. We must also include the Pharmaceutical Companies. We must include any and all Corporations, Companies, Institutions or Organizations that send American Citizens jobs overseas.

WE THE PEOPLE WANT EQUALITY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!!!!!

This is my Manifesto and Intentions, or in other words my list of things that I would like to see the Congress of the United States of America Correct for me and the other members of the 99%.

1.] Because of the Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission Supreme Court ruling, I want A Constitutional Amendment to the United States of America's Constitution Article 1, to clearly define that an Individual is a Living Breathing Member of the Homo-Sapiens Species and that Corporations, Companies, Institutions, or any kind of Organization are not Individuals and do not have the same Rights as do Living Breathing Individuals. I also want it to clearly state that only Congress has the Right and the Ability to place limits upon What, Where, When and How an individual may make Contributions to a Political Party or to an Individual running for a Political Office.

An Individual may only make a Contribution to a Political Party or Individual Political Candidate that lives or operates within the State that the Individual Contributor lives in 51% of the Year. We the People want outsiders stopped from affecting elections in our home states. The Individual making the contribution has to send it to the Federal Election Commission specifying the Political Party or the Political Candidate they want the funds to go to. The Federal Election Commission would then once a month, send the Contribution to the Political party or the Individual Political Candidate but it would be Anonymous so that the Political Party nor the Individual Candidate would feel an obligation to the Donor.
Political Action Committees may only advertise their Support for, or Against of an Issue that they have an interest in. They MUST NOT EVER be permitted to be for or against an Individual Candidate or Political Party.

2.] That we take a sum of money equal to the amount of money that was used for the TARP Bail-Out ($750 Billion Dollars) and that we use it to Create Jobs in The United States of America for United States of America Citizens. That this be paid for by placing a Sur-Tax for the next ten years, on Individuals, Corporations, Companies, Institutions and for Profit Organizations who earn over $500,000.00 a year.

The government should also adopt strong, not toothless, measures to eliminate the trade deficit, which is now running at $500 billion per year. This alone will create five million manufacturing jobs. It should be the policy of the Congress of the United Statyes of America that the GDP should consist of at least 50% from the Manufacturing Base of the United States of America. Eliminating the trade deficit will raise US GDP by the same amount, and to produce that much output, new workers will be needed. Suppose it costs a business $100,000 to hire a worker, including salary, benefits and profit. Dividing 500 billion by 100,000 yields five million. In other words, eliminating the trade shortfall will generate five million new jobs, paying the average wage and benefits. The Congress of the United States of America needs tro address the Minimium Wage Law and increase it to $10.00 per hour. The Congress must also get serious about adjusting the Poverty Income Level and make sure that it includes the following:

A.] Nortrishional Food for three meals a day for each member within the family.

B.] Proper clothing for each member of the family.

C.] Housing for each member of the family.

D.] Medical Care and Medicines for each member of the family.

E.] Transportation for each member of the family.

F.] Educational Materials for each member of the family attending a school.

G.] School meals for each member of the family attending school.

The trade deficit can be eliminated by setting up a low export-exchange rate, the way China and other Asian nations have done. But first, the government must see the value of balancing our trade and then proper economic policy can be devised to reach the goal.

Outsourcing is now the biggest job destroyer. The government should impose a hefty tax on this practice. This way, if a company has to outsource some work, it will compensate the nation for creating joblessness in the economy.

Finally, we need to eliminate the federal budget deficit. This can be done by repealing the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy and by enacting a small tax on financial transactions, while preserving crucial programs for the retirees.

There is no reason to cut Social Security and Medicare, because President Reagan raised taxes sharply to guarantee the benefits to retiring baby boomers. In short, President Obama should do away with the nine-point list of exploitation mentioned above. He will then be able to bring about the change that he promised during the election campaign in 2008.

3.] The Entire Income Tax Code MUST be Repealed and Replaced. By the elimination of ALL the Exceptions, Exemptions, and Deductions, and by making every source of Income be subject to the same Tax Code no matter How it was earned, Where it was earned, or What it was earned from. This is an Income Tax Code that is based upon the ability to pay, just like everything else in life is.

Income earned from $.01 to $10,000.00 would pay 2.5% Tax Rate.
Income earned from $10,000.01 to $20,000.00 would pay 5% Tax Rate.
Income earned from $20,000.01 to $30,000.00 would pay 7.5% Tax Rate.
Income earned from $30,000.01 to $40,000.00 would pay 10% Tax Rate.
Income earned from $40,000.01 to $50,000.00 would pay 12.5% Tax Rate.
Income earned from $50,000.01 to $60,000.00 would pay 15% Tax Rate.
Income earned from $60,000.01 to $70,000.00 would pay 17.5% Tax Rate.
Income earned from $70,000.01 to $$80,000.00 would pay 20% Tax Rate.
Income earned from $80,000.01 to $90,000.00 would pay 25% Tax Rate.
Income earned from $90,000.01 to $100,000.00 would pay 30% Tax Rate.
Income earned from $100,000.01 to $350,000,000.00 would pay 35% Tax Rate.
Income earned from $350,000.01 to $1,000,000.00 would pay 40% Tax Rate.
Income earned from $1,000,000.01 to $10,000,000.00 would pay a 45% Tax Rate.
Income earned from $10,000,000.01 and up would pay a Tax Rate of 50%.

Corporate Tax Rate would be 10%. With NO Exceptions, Exemptions and the only Deductions would be for the actual Expenses directly related to running the business and producing or providing the product or service. This would ensure that all Corporations, Companies, Institutions or for Profit Organizations that earned a Profit they would PAY TAXES.

4.] That we write a Constitutional Amendment that would make it Mandatory for the Federal Government of the United States of America and each of the States of the United States of America to have a Balanced Budget Amendment. That Congress would have the Right and Ability with a 2/3 vote of the Congress to grant a Deficit Budget in the time of a Declared War or Declared National Emergency.

5.] Create a Law which would allow for "We the People" to vote on the Compensation and Benefits that Executives of Public Corporations, Companies, Institutions or Organizations receive. That each person who owns one share of Stock gets one single vote, not a vote for each share of Stock owned.

6.] Criminal Law Reform. That every Law must have a Mandatory Sentencing set for First time Offenders, a Mandatory Sentencing for Second time Offenders, a Mandatory Sentencing for Third time Offenders that is life imprisonment without Parole.

All Violations of the Discrimination Laws should be treat as "HATE CRIMES" and be piunished as "Haate crimes".

That White Collar Crimes have the same Harsh Penalties as the Criminal Crimes. If you steal Millions and Billions presently you do not go to Prison, but if you steal $100 from a 7-11 you get Prison time.

If as a result of White Collar Crime an Individual was damaged financially and committed Suicide then the Individual who committed the White Collar Crime would be charged with Second Degree Murder.

7.] That if it is ever proved that anyone within the Justice System [Police-person, Prosecutor, Defense Attorney, Judge, Expert etc.] or any other Witness outside of the Justice System Falsified, Hid, Destroyed or in any way caused an innocent person to be convicted, that they upon their conviction would be Mandatorily Sentenced to the Penalty that the Individual they tried to Frame would have had to serve.

8.] That the sentence of Execution could only be given when there is Positive DNA Evidence beyond a Reasonable Doubt. Execution could never be given when there is only Eye-Witness testimony, seeing as in 74% of the cases or convictions overturned they had been based on Eye-Witness testimony.

9.] That all Laws and Regulations must be written to protect the Individual Citizens Health, Safety, and Welfare.

10.] That Ethic Rules and Regulations be written that cover every Individual that is employed by the Federal Government and that the enforcement of these Laws and Regulations be the responsibility of the Justice Department. That there be Mandatory Sentences for the Violation of these Laws, Regulations and Rules.

11.] English should be made the Official Language of the United States of America. There is a tremendous cost to having to make sure that Educational Businesses and other Businesses have to provide multi-language speakers and options.

12.] That these be made RIGHTS of an American Citizen: Equal and Free Education, Mandatory HealthCare for all, a Minimum Retirement Guarantee, Minimum Housing and a Minimum Adequate Food supply. I would also require that if Mentally and Physically an Individual is able to work then they must accept any employment that they are qualified to perform to receive these Rights.

13.] Social Security Reform, remove the Caps on the amounts of Income that is Taxable. Make all types of Income be taxable no matter what they are, where they came from or how they were earned.

14.] Make receiving Social Security be "Means Tested."

15.] Medicare, which the Republicans created but failed to fund, should be a part of the General Federal Budget. Medicaid should also be made a part of the General Federal Budget.

16.] I have found it interesting to listen to the President, other Democrats, the Republicans and the Tea-Party Members talk about how the "cost of living" was going up due to inflation. The one single thing that I have not seen nor have I heard that the people on Social Security should have gotten a "Cost of Living" adjustment to make up for it. Just so those of you who do not know it the Social Security check that your parents or grandparents gets has gone down each of the past three years. WHY? Because they had to pay more for Medicare and received no cost of living raise

17.] If a financial institution is too big to fail, it is too big to exist. Today, the six largest financial institutions have assets equal to more than 60 percent of GDP. The four largest banks in this country issue two-thirds of all credit cards, half of all mortgages, and hold nearly 40 percent of all bank deposits. Incredibly, after we bailed out these big banks because they were "too big to fail," three out of the four largest are now even bigger than they were before the financial crisis began. It is time to take a page from Teddy Roosevelt and break up these behemoths so that their failure will no longer lead to economic catastrophe and to create competition in our financial system.

Financial Institutions need to have Regulations and be limited in the services that they furnish. Either they are Investment Banks or they are Commercial Banks.

Congress should set a Dollar Value on what the maximium size an Institution, Corporation, Company or Organization could be. Congress should also pass a Cap on the amount of money any Executive could earn as Salary and Benefits from a Publicly Owned Corporation, Company or Organization. There should be a Ratio between the Highest paid individual and the lowest paid individual in an Institution, Corporation, Company or Organization. I suggest that this Ratio be NO greater than 35 to 1, I also would make it the Law that if the Executives of a Institution, Corporation, Company or Organization receive a Bonus then each and every employe of the Institution, Corporation, Company or Organization would receive the exact same percentage for a Bonus.

18.] Put a cap of 10% on Mortgage Rates, 12% on Installment Loans, and 12% on Credit Card interest rates to end usury. Outlaw Payday Loans. Today, more than a quarter of all credit card holders in this country are paying interest rates above 20 percent and as high as 59 percent. When credit card companies charge 25 or 30 percent interest rates they are not engaged in the business of "making credit available" to their customers. They are involved in extortion and loan-sharking. Citigroup, Bank of America, and JP Morgan Chase should not be permitted to charge consumers 25-30 percent interest on their credit cards, especially while these banks received over $4 trillion in loans from the Federal Reserve. No Bank or Credit Union should be able to make any charges for an individual using their Debit Card.

Some recommendations I borrowed from Senator Bernie Sanders;
19.] The Federal Reserve needs to provide small businesses in America with the same low-interest loans it gave to foreign banks and other Financial Institutions in the United States of America. During the financial crisis, the Federal Reserve provided hundreds of billions of dollars to foreign banks and corporations including the Arab Banking Corporation, Toyota, Mitsubishi, the Korea Development Bank, and the state-owned Bank of Bavaria. [I would like to know what the legal authority it did this under.] At a time when small businesses can't get the lending they need, it is time for the Fed to create millions of American jobs by providing low-interest loans directly to small businesses.

20.] Stop Wall Street oil speculators from artificially increasing gasoline and heating oil prices. Stop the manipulation of all the other Commodities that are traded. Right now, the American people are being gouged at the gas pump by speculators on Wall Street who are buying and selling billions of barrels of oil in the energy futures market with no intention of using a drop for any purpose other than to make a quick buck. Delta Airlines, Exxon Mobil, the American Trucking Association, and other energy experts have estimated that excessive oil speculation is driving up oil prices by as much as 40 percent. We have got to end excessive oil speculation and bring needed relief to American consumers. [I would set a limit on the number of times a Commodity could exchange hands or ownership to three, prior to it being sold to the end Manufacture.]

21.] Demand that Wall Street invest in the job-creating productive economy, instead of gambling on worthless derivatives. The American people have got to make it crystal clear to Wall Street that the era of excessive speculation is over. The "heads, bankers win; tails, everyone else loses" financial system must end. Most important, we need to create a new Wall Street that exists not to reward CEOs and Investors for the bets they make on exotic financial instruments that nobody understands. Rather, we need a Wall Street that provides financial services to small businesses and manufacturers to create decent-paying jobs and grow the economy by productive means. Think of all of the productive short and long-term investments that could be made in our country right now if Wall Street used the money it has received from the federal government wisely. Instead of casino-style speculation, Wall Street could invest in high-speed trains; fuel-efficient cars; wind turbines and other alternative energy sources; affordable housing; affordable prescription drugs that save people's lives; and other things that America desperately needs. That is what we have got to demand from Wall Street.

22.] Establish a Wall Street speculation fee on credit default swaps, derivatives, stock options and futures. Both the economic crisis and the deficit crisis are a direct result of the greed and recklessness on Wall Street. Establishing a speculation fee would reduce gambling on Wall Street, encourage the financial sector to invest in the productive economy, and significantly reduce the deficit without harming average Americans. There are a number of precedents for this. The U.S had a similar Wall Street speculation fee from 1914 to 1966. The Revenue Act of 1914 levied a 0.2 percent tax on all sales or transfers of stock. In 1932, Congress more than doubled that tax to help finance the government during the Great Depression. And today, England has a financial transaction tax of 0.25 percent, a penny on every $4 invested.

23.] We need a moratorium on bank-ordered evictions, along with a government-funded program to aid the underemployed that is as robust as the trillions spent to save the Wall Street swindlers who caused all of this trouble.

24.] We need Tariffs on every product that is brought into the United States of America from any Foreign Country at a lower cost than those that we manufacture in the United States of America, the tariff should make them equal in cost and then the difference would be the Quality.

25.] "WE the PEOPLE" demand that every single member of the Federal Reserve Board, the Treasury Department be removed from their positions if they have ever worked for or Consulted for the Banking Industry and the Financial Institutions. We can get the employees we need from the Academic World.

It is a well known fact in the Congress of the United States of America that the Majority of the Members of the Federal Reserve Board and the Treasury Department were employed by the Financial Institutions before they accepted positions with the federal Government and that the majority of them will return to the employment of the Financial Institutions when they leave the employment of the Federal Government.

Talk about a "CONFLICT of INTEREST." They are suppose to Regulate and protect "WE the PEOPLE' from the Greed and Corruption of the very people who employed them in the past and will employee them in the future. We need a Law that simply states that if you are employed by the Federal Government in any position, then it is Illegal for you to ever accept any Employment with a Corporation, Company or Organization that you had any function over, or responsibility for when employed by the Federal Government.

26.] Immigration. There is nothing wrong with Immigration so long as it is done legally. I find the FACT that there are approximately 25 Million Illegal Aliens in the United States of America and there just happens to be approximately 25 million unemployed United States of America Citizens unemployed.

There is a very simple way to significantly lower the Illegal Aliens in the United States of America and I have sent this recommendation to my Elected Representative and to my Senators.

To reduce the Illegal Aliens in the United States of America you must remove the JOBS that they get and the people who employee the Illegal's. You must also punish those who aid and abet the Illegal Alien. Now I will tell you my recommendation to accomplish this task:

A.] You must write new laws with automatic mandatory Sentencing for everyone that hires an Illegal Alien. FIRST offense would be a 25% of the Profits of the hiring agent or Corporation, Company, Institution or for Profit Organization and a mandatory 1 year prison sentence. SECOND offense would be 50% of the Profits of the hiring agent or Corporation, Company, Institution or for Profit Organization and a mandatory 5 year prison sentence. THIRD offense would be 75% of the Profits of the hiring agent or Corporation, Company, Institution or for Profit Organization and a mandatory 10 year prison sentence, FORTH offense would be 100% of the Profit and a mandatory Life Sentence in Prison.

B.] The United States of America and Mexico should build a 20 foot tall fence along the entire southern border. Each sides of the Fence should be patrolled by troops from each of the Countries involved.

C.] I believe that it would be cheaper for the USA to Deport the Illegal then to keep them in Prison in the United States of America.

27.] Somewhere and at some time, I heard or read about a Secret Society of "Rich and Powerful Men" who were the true rulers of the World. That they started and ended Wars, that they started and ended Famines, that they controlled the Money and therefore controlled the Elected Officials of the World. This Secret Society did whatever they wanted to do when they wanted to do it and no one could or would resist them. [ George Orwell ]

Maybe that is what this is all about. Maybe that is why this movement is spreading World Wide. Maybe the "Rich and Powerful" finally got to Greedy and to Corrupt, and pissed off to many people in the World at one single time. Maybe now is the time in HISTORY when the people of the WORLD finally take over the control of their future and the continuing Generations futures and put in place the Laws and the Regulations that will prevent a 1.0% Minority from every again taking control of a 99.0% of the Majority of the Citizens of the World.

We have a constant presence of about 50 in Saint Louis- Keiner Plaza-, with people dropping in and out and occasional large get togethers. The police have been friendly, but there are so many of them, anyone who is so inclined would think this was a great time to go rob a bank or something, since the police are busy watching people wander around, read, talk, and take naps. We have started going out into the neighborhoods and passing the message on. The response is solidly behind us. Now we need to get those people into voting booths, which is the only way, other than bullets, to really change anything.

All great movements have started when intelligent, courageous people have taken truth into the streets, almost always with immense personal cost, but eventually other have caught the living flame. I truly admire your courage, your peaceful demonstrations, and your perseverance despite what could be discouraging blockages. This country will not be the same after your message has been taken up by the many.Elizabeth Butler, SCNY

Although I am not physically able to occupy Wall Strrrt, i've read enough to know that OccupyWallStreet is a people-powered movement, not the
expression of a political party. Its members are not Progressives or Democrats. It isn't based on a belief system. Like a seed, it poked its head up from the ground, in this time when the climate is changing, when civilization itself is changing. From the ashes of a self-centered world, a new culture is evolving, based upon doing what is good for the whole.

Since the highest headcount for this movement was 3000 people in New York, I would like them to account for the $300,000. they said on CNN that they have already received before giving them any more. In a nation of 312 million, I do not think 3000 plus = 99% of this nation. Plus I am one of the 99+% not attending this movement. And I think that blocking the stock market to try to frighten investors from investing in American owned business is really an act of war, while pretending it's about something else. Actions speak louder than words.

Spoken like a true conservative. A member of the 99% who wishes that they were part of the 1%.

We are doing the same thing here in Corpus Christi, Texas. We had about 150 total (some came and went) yesterday and there were 15 young people spending the night. They are cleaning up around our City Hall. We are proud of them.
