Tea Party Shoots Itself In the Foot

Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill seems to be way behind in her elections, her liberalist ideals are just to much for voters to handle. However, the Tea Party is looking to stick to their ways and maybe give her a chance. Rep. Todd Adkin looks to change it because he believes the very existence of the federal student-loan program is a "stage-three cancer of socialism." He's also eager to eliminate the minimum wage, believes liberalism is based on "a hatred of God," believes the Bible should be a "blueprint" for American government; and wants to impeach President Obama because, in his mind, the president is "a complete menace to our civilization."

Politicians like Rep. Todd Adkin can't possibly survive. They will self destruct. I just have more faith in my fellow constituents than to think they could vote for someone that is as out of touch with most Americans as Adkin is. I don't hear any of my republican neighbors talk of a cancer of socialism. I don't hear any of them say minimum wage is too much when their very children and family starve on that wage. None of them carry a bible and accuse me of hating God. Nor do they want our American government dominated by the church. No, my republican friends don't mind at all that we belong to opposite parties. We have respect and compassion for each other. It is the politicians that could learn from us.
