Chief executive officer of the Farm Credit Administration, Leland Strom said the drought is now affecting more than half of U.S. counties.  This issue has set off the alarm across the government as grain prices soar, livestock, ethanol, and dairy producers are squeezed.  The food inflation scare is starting to rattle economic planners.
