UN Convoy in Syria Hit by Explosion

A Syrian military truck escorting a UN convoy of monitors was struck nearby the city of Deraa.  The blast just nearly missed a UN staff vehicle.  Witnesses say that three Syrian soldiers in the truck were wounded.  It is not clear who or what group was behind the blast, only that this action against the UN monitors is a campaign to drive the monitors out of the country.  So far, there are approximately 70 UN monitors in Syria, but their presence has done little to stop the violence.
