The Obama administration has defied the Republican-led U.S. House of Representatives. They are invoking a claim of executive privilege as it refused to turn over documents related to a Mexican gun-running operation. This move prompted the House Oversight and Government Operations Committee to go ahead with plans to vote on charging Eric Holder with contempt of congress. He is the U.S. attorney general.
