US Involvement in Somalia with French Mission

President Obama admitted the U.S. military helped aid the French in a rescue of a French comando held hostage by Somalia insurgents. “United States combat aircraft briefly entered Somali airspace to support the rescue operation, if needed. These aircraft did not employ weapons during the operation,” Obama said in his letter to to Congress on Sunday, according to Aljazeera. But the support from American troops was limited.
