‘What Global Warming Looks Like’

Scientists suggest taking a look at U.S. weather in recent weeks is a glimpse of some of the worst of global warming. Horrendous wildfires, oppressive heat waves, devastating droughts, flooding from giant deluges, and a powerful freak wind storm called a derecho can all be seen in the U.S. these last few weeks. These are the kinds of extremes climate scientists have predicted will come with climate change.

There is certainly some poetic justice in the fact that the country that has produced 25% of the world's pollution for many, many decades is now reaping its just rewards from what it has sown.
