Women Rapists in Syria Now Being Tracked by Maps

Syrian forces commonly use rape as a tactic since the anti-regime uprising began. Sexual violence against women has largely been underreported. A U.S. advocacy group, “Women Under Siege” funded by New York based Women’s Media Center seeks to change this issue in Syria. The site’s map allows users to see real-time sexual crime tracking. Allowing for users to anonymously report assault through simple tweets, text, email, or comments to the site.
