Dr. Peter Schnall is the Co-Director of the Healthy Work Campaign, as well as the Founder and Director of the Center for Social Epidemiology. An internist and epidemiologist, Peter has been studying the impact of working conditions on the development of hypertension among workers for over 40 years, as well as promoting increasing awareness among students, colleagues and the public of the important role psychosocial work stressors play in the development of chronic mental and physical illnesses. Zack Kaldveer is the Communications Manager for the Healthy Work Campaign. Zack has worked as an advocate, writer, and strategist on a diverse range of local, statewide, and national issues including environmental, social, and economic justice, consumer rights, and public health. He also works on a variety of projects for the Public Health Institute (this editorial does not necessarily reflect the views of PHI), a public health and social justice policy think tank. Zack also serves as a director on the Pacifica Foundation National Board and an elected member of the KPFA Local Station Board.
