It is estimated that 90 people die from gun violence in America every day. More than 10,300 Americans have already lost their lives to guns in 2016 alone, with 2,600 of those being children under the age of 18. This year, more people have been killed in mass shootings than we’ve had days.

Gun control is a serious problem in America, and it is clear that something must be done. But even as the death toll skyrockets, our politicians fail to establish any real regulations regarding the sale and ownership of guns.

NationofChange believes that part of the problem is a lack of information. Both sides, those for and against gun control in America, have an incomplete picture, a lack of facts to counteract the fiction.

Have you ever heard these fictional statements?:

  • Gun control measures are unconstitutional.
  • Mass shootings only happen in places where guns aren’t allowed.
  • The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.

NationofChange has put together a beautiful visual reference guide that will help you respond to these and other common anti-gun control arguments.
