“This generation of students will feel the effects of climate change more than any other, and it is critical that every student is provided an opportunity to study and understand the climate crisis.”

But climate change is already a reality for many American students, affecting lives whether the subject is taught in science class or not.

"In terms of teaching climate change, we could adequately fund education. In terms of society, we have to pass radical legislation to force people to act in the best interests of the planet."

The Yale Program on Climate Change (YPCCC) reported that in a national average, 78 percent of people polled responded they either somewhat or strongly agreed.
