On the basis of this record, the former VP hardly seems like the best person to heal the divisions so fiercely stoked by Donald Trump, the Republican Party and well funded right-wing media over the last few years.

I am happy to point out that Bernie raised a lot of money in a single day and no one in the media (except LA Progressive and yours truly, plus a lot of tweets and Reddit postings), pointed this out.

Biden has already seen his share of coverage, and was the second-most-mentioned Democratic candidate on cable news during the first three months of 2019.

Biden is also known for close ties to the financial industry and voting to authorize the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003.

Former vice president is an instant front-runner with universal name recognition, extensive financial network.
