From whence cometh such might-makes-right onslaughts, promising not just dramatic lose-lose scenarios but certifying Trump (and America) as the planet’s single most dangerous Predator-in-chief?
Across male supremacy, smug paternalism, chin-thrusting machismo, or “lethal,” Manosphere dominance ploys, MAGA Trump belligerence encompasses not just needless war-making and mock warrior brawn, but anti-abortion, anti-trans wars, domestic violence, and sexual abuse against women of all ages. Thanks to violence-cheering MAGA and its male-chauvinist president, with spitting online gender poison, the worst of deluded machismo is on daily display. Visible evidence of a “perfect” alpha male dominance ploy is trying to stamp his (disgraced) family name on everything that doesn’t move. Overall, my inquiries prove that such primitive, assertive male belligerence echoes a discredited ‘60’s thesis that natural, even genetic aggression/ dominance, flashing coercion, intimidation, and force, are paramount for sex, social status and power.

The success of modern culture, despite costly, periodic, lethal wars, is far more about collective, intensifying human relationships that depend on science, discovery, applied knowledge, and management expertise—plus law and order to police disruptions. Yes, competition drives new industries, but even here evidence is sparse that overall human progress, certainly stability, depends on all-powerful, egocentric, self-entitled single rulers. While dictators commandeer half of humanity, autocratic, war-mongering dynastic legacies have fallen dramatically by the wayside. History shows that neither Putin’s nor Trump’s nor other “alpha male” offspring replicate paternal power roles. No Bush, Clinton, Obama or Kennedy progeny, certainly not the disgraced RFK, Jr., loom as presidential prospects for the foreseeable future.

How quickly we evolve beyond this latest surge of (mainly white) masculine toxicity is unclear, despite gains by minorities and women CEOs, scientists and leaders. But the infamy of the MAGA display – bad wars, ICE, blustery aggression, scapegoating women and anti-rights violations—will kickstart defiance of both the Chauvinist-in-chief and the entire “alpha Manosphere” lunacy. Nothing like overwhelming botch-jobs and epic downsides to show under-informed voters that rule by self-serving, media-hungry, buffoonish braggarts destroys far more than it creates. Noem and Bondi are only the first (female) casualties, next up Gabbard, Hegseth and Patel. Failures by the deranged, dominant top dog, reinforced by threats, name-calling and loudmouth grievances, look more like territorial markings (Fido pissing on hydrants); they now serve to dramatize cluelessness on governance, contempt for the Constitution, courts and laws, and dismissal of the majority. Repulsion to everything MAGA jeopardizes the license to badly misbehave, eventually curbing power. The expected mid-term rout will certify that suckered 2024 voters made a catastrophic mistake, deluded that an even worse version of Trumpism would benefit anyone beyond racists, hardcore evangelicals, gun advocates, women-haters, government-scorners, and the billionaire class.
Good news: The crackbrained, suicidal Make America Grim Again carnival impedes the next alpha male wannabee from crawling from the oozing swamp, bellowing toxic masculinity and gaining office. How many “worst presidencies” are more than enough to wholly discredit MAGA? The majority is coming to its senses: integrity, competence, honesty, rationality and mental health are “enemies” to MAGA. Won’t the next phony alpha male, like Vance, have to lie, cheat and slander to cover up how many Rethugs are cruel, defective, violence-prone con men? It’s not as if Trump’s pathology has changed in 50 years, in fact worsening since 2020. Once a malignant narcissist (a very terrible sickness), always a malignant narcissist.
Wanted: grownup, non-pathological, far, far less corrupt and dishonest politicians with a populist agenda vs. arrogant, male ignoramuses who’ve not only declared themselves infallible (not mistakes, no apologies) but better than everyone else at THEIR expert jobs. That cannot abide if America is to regain its sanity.
P.S. How revealing that Trump was closely involved when sponsoring pro wrestling. Even more than politics, showboat “entertainments” best fits his macho career—all those hulking muscle men pounding each other into submission. In fact, pro wrestling, with steroidal visuals and outrageous aggressiveness, anticipated what worked so well (to his surprise) when voicing violent rhetoric (maul dissenters) and greasing his political ambitions with outlandish stunts. How utterly deranged must any “alpha male” be to declare his cult popularity gets him off the hook after shooting someone on Fifth Avenue?
Further, the young women beauty contests he sponsored fit his male control fantasies for half-dressed sex objects who attend his authority as impresario, telling them how to appear, probably even how to strut. Trump is the master of strutting. Perhaps he auditioned beauty contestants as potential victims for Epstein’s sex-trafficking—or vice versa? The sum of such male supremacy spectacles eventually sucked in disempowered, insecure MAGA men to share Trump’s wishful thinking, filled with delusions of fantasy over reality, machinery (guns, cars, toys, games) over intimacy, superstition over science, image over substance, and lies over truth.
