Frances Causey is a documentary filmmaker and former Emmy winning producer at CNN. Her most recent documentary, The Long Shadow, is about the lingering human cost of ignorance, intolerance, and inaction in the US, casting a long shadow over our national identity and imperfect democracy. Frances’s film, and how it connects our history of slavery to the racism of modern policing was recently featured in the San Jose Mercury News.
