Jonathan H. Martin is Professor of Sociology at Framingham State University, and the editor of and a contributor to the anthology Empowering Progressive Third Parties in the United States (Routledge). He has been involved in the left third party movement for decades. Formerly he was a Green Party activist and a steering committee member of Draft Bernie for a People’s Party (the forerunner of Movement for a People’s Party). Currently he is a team member of Progressive Party Builders (https://progressivepartybuilders.com/), a group that promotes the bottom-up development of a viable new progressive party in the United States.
