We must be very wary of any attempts to excuse or normalize white supremacy.

Trump’s many spoken bigotries were not a deal-breaker for the silent majority of ‘nice’ supporters. That is the true disgrace.

“No, the terrorist attack on peaceful counter protesters Saturday in Charlottesville was not an isolated incident. Anyone who says that is lying to you.”

Awareness is only the first step. We must resist it, too.

None of us can be silent in this time. Silence is complicity.

State police and National Guardsmen watched passively for hours as self-proclaimed Nazis engaged in street battles with counter-protesters.
