Climate change is an emergency. And so is Trumpism. Flames are approaching what’s left of democratic structures in the United States.

“Even if the U.S. government has decided to leave the Paris Agreement, we see in the U.S. an enormous movement in favor to climate action.”
If emission reductions are large and sustained, we can still meet the Paris goals and avoid the most severe damage to the natural world, the economy and people. But worryingly, we also have time to make it far worse.
“There's still many things that we can save, but that's going to require action and that action is going to have to happen soon.”
“The report fails to address the vital need to end the extraction, processing, and burning of fossil fuels, and instead sees a future for fossil fuels tied to the false promise of carbon capture.”
Trump’s malfeasance is now more palpable than his fearmongering. The personal is political.
“If we reduce CO2, we will reduce Arctic warming and we will therefore also reduce the sea level rise contribution from the Greenland ice sheet.”
