The 2016 Republican presidential candidate front-runner called Vermont U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders a communist resulting in boos and even a tomato being hurled at him. The man who threw the tomato was arrested on the spot.
Iowa City, home of the state’s largest public university, has a lot of young voters he was attempting to gain as supporters.
