WATCH: Nearly 30 Years Ago Bernie Sanders was Already Talking About Inequality

During a 1988 interview with C-SPAN Bernie Sanders was asked what a president should talk about. Sanders, mayor of Burlington at the time, gave an answer nearly identical to what he talks about in his campaign speeches today:

“So my first concern is to have a president who has the courage to look reality in the face and say that we need some radical changes in this country so that every American can have the opportunity to have a decent standard of living and live a decent life.”

It seems not much has changed for what Sanders wants to see happen. Lucky for his supporters he has stayed firm almost 30 years later in his run for President of the United States
