Which will prevail? That question will be answered on November 3, 2020, when the American people will have to decide whether they want to live in this democracy or under the rule of a fascist government. That’s the day the Democratic candidate runs against Trump, the leader of the forces of fascism that are determined to take down our democracy.

The American people better wake soon and realize that this nation’s democracy is under direct attack by these forces of fascism. It couldn’t be more clear that they are determined to transform America into a fascist state. That can’t be allowed to happen.

Fascism is “a political philosophy, movement, or regime that exalts nationalism above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.”

Characteristics of fascism

Powerful and Continuing Nationalism

Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights

Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause

Supremacy of the Military

Rampant Sexism

Controlled Mass Media

Obsession with National Security

Religion and Government are Intertwined

 Corporate Power is Protected

Labor Power is Suppressed

Fraudulent Elections

Those who can’t see that Trump is laying down the foundations for fascism rule over

America and its people need to come to their senses, think clearly about what is going on, and fight back.

Where is the proof, where is the evidence that this is actually happening? It’s everywhere, it’s all around us, this sinister process being advanced primarily in all the major areas of our government, but also spreading across this country.

He recently intervened in the case of Roger Stone, who had been convicted on seven counts and was facing from seven to nine years in prison. Trump took the law into his own hands by forcing AG Barr to have the sentencing guidelines canceled, a contamination of the law.

That move on his part has set off the alarms across the judicial world. First, we saw the letter signed by more than 2000 former Justice Dept. officials and prosecutors who are condemning what he did and demanding his resignation.

Soon after that, we heard that there would be an emergency meeting of the Independent Federal Judges Association on Tuesday, February 18, to discuss this entire troubling issue.

The controlled Attorney General William Barr no longer tries to hide the fact that he is Trump’s consigliere, his facilitator, his enforcer.

Trump, in his fascist agenda, has attacked leaders and key employees of the Justice Dept. itself, the FBI, and various intelligence agencies with demeaning, insulting remarks that have no place in conducting government business. He is determined to force them to bend to his will, his dictates.

He is the modern-day Benito Mussolini.

This power-crazy presidential states that the Constitution gives him the right to “do whatever I want”, which is entirely false in that it gives him no such thing. Look up Article 2 and you can see the specific powers it gives him. This declaration that he is above the law should leave no doubt in anyone’s mind that his main objective is to turn this nation into a fascist state.

He has issued 17 pardons to convicted felons, including three service members who were convicted in war crimes cases and, very likely, he will also do that for Michael Flynn and his long time pal, Roger Stone who, among other things, threatened the life of a key witness against him.

A prime example of his fascist tactics is what he did during the impeachment process. He did everything in his power to block, to obstruct, the entire investigation into his Ukrainian phone call by which he attempted to force that nation’s president to investigate Biden and his son.

Divide and conquer, that’s “a strategy by which someone remains in power by making sure that the people under their control quarrel among themselves and so cannot unite to achieve their aims and overthrow their leader,” That’s what he is using to divide the American people to such an extent that he controls everything.

Why have Republicans bent to his dictates so easily? It’s because they share his fascist philosophy of control and dominance. This is what they have been doing for a very long time as they have done everything in their power to control women’s bodies, exercise control over minorities, and suppress voting rights. They are cut out of the same cloth as Trump.

Based on everything that he has done, and is still doing, to make the rule of law and the U.S. Constitution irrelevant and meaningless, and his determination to put a fascist state into place in America, Trump represents the greatest threat to democracy in our history.

The people of this country must awaken to these dangers and soon.

The Democratic candidates can debate their differences on critical issues and disagree with each other as to who has the best solutions but, they must be unified in the #1 objective that they must pursue. And that is to expose Trump as a fascist who is just waiting to be reelected so he can finish the job of creating and installing a fascist state.

There is only one way right now to stop him in his tracks and that will be on November 3, 2020, when the American people must and will see that this democracy removes the dark clouds of Trump fascism that currently hang over America.
