The United States has lost at least 211,000 lives to COVID-19. That’s more than any other nation on earth! These are our mothers, fathers, grandparents, sons, and daughters—not just numbers, but real people. These deaths have left families broken, and each of them has a unique story. Maddie’s story is presented here.

We know that Donald Trump didn’t create COVID-19, but he hasn’t acted appropriately to stop its spread. Taped recordings show that Trump downplayed the virus and lied to the public about its danger. He has not listened to scientists. He holds rallies where people are not socially distanced or wearing masks. He is not making us greater or safer. In fact, we are less safe. We are approaching a year in December since this virus was detected, and the U.S. still has no national plan to stop the virus.

So what can Americans do? What we’ve always done. Vote. Make a plan to vote safely and early and check your voter registration today at vote.org. Vote like your life depends on it because someone you love could be the next COVID-19 tragedy.
