Loser-in-chief obsessed with losing – 2020 blowout, doomed insurrection, J6 slush fund, ICE, inflation, tariffs, judicial mayhem, the Pool, Epstein, Ukraine, Gaza and Iran
After “I alone can fix everything,” no propaganda from the king of unwitting irony offsets his own words:
“We’re gonna win so much, you may even get tired of winning. And you’ll say: ‘Please, please, it’s too much winning. We can’t take it anymore. Mr. President.’”
“We’re winning so much that we really don’t know what to do about it.”
Just replace “winning” with “losing” to precisely capture hard, cold reality with a painful thud. Other than costly “wins” from corrupt self-serving, amassing billions, and repelling censure, what positives have MAGA Trump delivered for anyone, even his own backers? A predictable litany of unprecedented failures dominate headlines, excepting lickspittle, make-belief trollery: inflation, sucked-out affordability, trade disasters, overseas blunders, wars direct or by proxy, ruthless ICE homicides, lost tourist spending, even NOT seizing Canada, Greenland, Cuba or Panama – all fix an unshakeable legacy getting firmer by the week.Betraying its own party, this WH endorses GOP losers galore in red and purple states.
What an avalanche of fiascos, finagling, hypocrisy and strangled promises. Certainly a bad economy, outrageous (doomed IMO) voting/election schemes, 2020 obsessions and Iranian defeats look to hand Dems the House and Senate. That combination cements the crippled lame duck plus humiliating exposures without equal. Sore losers (who ceaselessly whine) are their own worst enemy, and nothing says sore loser for the ages like re-litigating a certified election six years old only with lies, screaming and bluster but not one new, pertinent fact. What a deranged conman. What a pathetic president. What a loser.
The first rule election pros push is never bring up irreparable fails, PR, military or legislative disasters – what shows you as unpresidential, as in petty, ornery, manic or wrongheaded. Incriminating news avoided like the plague and never remind voters what went wrong on your watch, made you look bad, and exposed ethical, unlawful or criminal violations. Harping on 2020, Trump drags in not just getting blown out but the treasonous insurrection, the Capitol devastation, and then unspeakable defenses of outlaws. This self-induced PR nightmare, forever regurgitating defeats, only demoralizes already wobbly MAGA voters while outraging everyone else to close down this shit-disturber before the next atrocity. Even his dead-end Save America nonsense, plus lawless election interference (a right the Constitution fully grants states) damps down rightwing voting and ups crushing Dem donations and numbers.
The MAGA boomerang strikes again
Call it the doubled-down MAGA Boomerang Repeat with this bottom line: the election fraudster self-indicts every time he bellows with irony beyond the pale that any election he or pals lose must be rigged, stolen, and corrupt. That quagmire of epic proportions, potentially a stake in the heart of fair elections, ignores who was in charge when the 2020 election happened. Thus does @hasanthehun quip, “so elections were rigged under his watch, but then biden fixed the election rigging and that’s how trump won?” MAGA = Quagmires R US.
We are fast exceeding brainlessness not only from amateur night hacks, but permanent bozo night hacks, like drunken three stooges given free reign. Really, what crazed desperado replays his failed, indefensible, “stolen, rigged” 2020 election lie a second time? Thus Trump doubles down on his worst, most delusional fiasco; first election results denial, then insurrection, then cheerleading Jan 6 criminals before gifting them pardons and compensation for crimes against the state, homicides and threats tonn hang Mike Pence? The mind, what’s left of it, boggles. As an Alternet headline barked this weekend, “Trump acts like America is filled with idiot people.” MAGA strongholds, at least. If Trump succeeds in intimidating voters with scare tactics, he’s equally likely to subvert Rethugs as Dems or independents. Why will MAGA Trump Election Derangement Syndrome succeed any better than rightwing derangements about the economy, affordability, dismal job growth, delusions courts won’t ax crude executive orders and endlessly frivolous litigation plus the most mindless, expensive, war-making catastrophe since Afghanistan.
Talk about smoke and mirrors – and not from Canadian fires. Without doubt, Trump has fewer basic governance savvy than any president in memory – an ignoramus on economics, voting law and rights,statutory laws and limits, healthcare, the Constitution, military adventures, even fixing the simple Reflecting Pool. In fact, the laughable Pool Blunder defines the perfect storm of unbelievably bad impulses, thus bad decisions, then blaming ghost “vandals,” then dragging in Biden and both Obamas, if not Clinton, JFK, and Honest Abe. Okay, he hasn’t yet pommeled the last three, but give the Doofus of the Decade time.
Other than duping voters he’s only about winning for THEM, what other job skills have ever appeared. This Naked Emperor of Misrule does nearly everything badly, then doubles down. He’s not good at propaganda, unable to buttress his maniacal soundbite regime with marginal popularity. That’s the price for “alone” tanking the economy and alone devastating international prestige, crippling exports, squandering military resources in a lose-lose war, all the while betraying his own party against the midterm deluge. He mistreats Congress as if disloyal peasants by spitefully refusing to sign the bipartisan Housing bill. Thus wholly Trump-driven divisions now wrack MAGA, beyond what Dems could ever manage.
Nasty Roy Cohn script implodes again
Clearly, the old, blustering “ambush first, take no prisoners” Roy Cohn script ain’t working for Devil Don. Yet Trump follows this utterly failed track like one of Musks’ robots: Attack all accusers. Deny everything, admit nothing. Never apologize. Never settle. Claim victory no matter what actually happened. That’s enough to make one expand Simon Tisdell’s Iran-based headline from the Guardian: “Trump, not Iran, is the world’s greatest danger. He’s a one-man weapon of mass destruction.” With three short sentences, Tisdell here captures the cursed career of a twice-elected bozo: “Trump’s self-love, not Iran, is global enemy No 1. He’s the principal reason this war is escalating uncontrollably again. He’s a one-man weapon of mass destruction.” Tisdell finishes with this ultimate, striking call to arms:
The Trump conundrum is ultimately one for the American people to resolve. They elected him. They saddled the world with this dangerous monster. It’s they who may ultimately pay the highest price for his depredations . . . far from making America great again, Trump makes it smaller, meaner, unhappier, more divided, isolated and unloved. Urgently needed now: a 2026 declaration of independence from Trump.
The bad faith Trump response to cosmic failures, compounded by denial, is to dismantle guardrails protecting elections, punish dissenting voices, and do whatever it takes to battle the very Constitutional system that elected him. That means firing the entire Election Assistance Commission, raiding registration offices, instructing the Post Office to decide “who gets to vote by mail,” and deploying FBI or ICE or whoever to polling places against non-existent“fraud.” Why not just cancel the midterms, as he once said?
Only an overreaching, wannabe dictator “cancels” state-run elections, even dare bring up this prospect. Dictatorship is certainly one answer to failure and unpopularity, like re-starting a no-win war calamity, or backing losers, but nothing can buoy up credibility or leverage or revival. Trump is already done, and going down further. Massive, unrelenting losses – without any socially-redeeming offsets – produce disgrace and rejection. The truly aggrieved Never Trumpers, “who can’t take it any more,” are funding and running savvy alternatives to the worst, neofascist, oligarchic stench in American politics since who knows when.
Incumbents in modern times already have decidedly limited life spans but never has the reality of “pendulum politics” been more obvious, even inevitable. Sure, billionaire bucks will make some races closer than they merit, and MAGA Trumpsters remain a gang of unprincipled loudmouths, but money alone cannot redeem misrule of this cosmic magnitude. That’s what happens when tens of agitated millions rise up and revive democratic control, declaring “we can’t take [the Big Lies] anymore.” It’s no longer remarkable how self-destructive and oblivious are narcissistic psychopaths when handed the reigns of power.
