Professor Colleen Murrell works at Dublin City University where she teaches broadcasting and researches international newsgathering. Her book on BBC women foreign correspondents is in press. Prior to moving to Ireland Colleen worked as a reporter and academic in Australia and also as a news editor for media companies including the BBC, ITN, AP, TF1, ABC and SBS. She was the lead researcher for the annual Reuters Digital News Report Ireland (2021-4).
