Indigenous leaders and environmentalists blasted the United Nations for marginalizing civil society groups over two weeks of negotiations at the climate summit, while welcoming polluters.

The global study was published in November, on the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the landmark international treaty affirming the world’s commitment to protecting children.

At the U.N. climate talks in Madrid, environmental and development groups are pushing to establish a fund to help countries already reeling from climate change.
