What in the world has happened to America? It’s like a different country from the one I grew up in and then spent the rest of my life in relative happiness. It’s now become a country that seems to have lost its heart and soul, and is like a barren likeness of its former self. It’s amazing how much terrible cruelty we have seen emanate from this heartless Trump administration in such a short time.
I just watched a sickening, shameful display in which Trump greeted Putin when he arrived in the US for talks about the Ukraine/Russian war. Trump greeted Vlad with a great smile, a hearty handshake, and he looked like he was meeting again with a great friend. Never mind that he was greeting a terrible war criminal who had invaded Ukraine and murdered thousands upon thousands of people, including children. Trump looked like he was just plain ecstatic, and that’s just plain offensive and repulsive. I almost thought he was going to bow down before Putin at the airport.
Many government departments and facilities have been closed suddenly without explanation, and thousands of workers have been fired with little to no notice. Trump is following the Nazi doctrine of authoritarianism almost exactly as it was done in the 1930s. Rip and tear at the vitals of government until all that is needed to govern this country are the commands from the one who wields the power and control, that’s Trump, the autocrat.
Trump was fully aware that a certain portion of Americans had little to no allegiance to their country and would willingly join his autocratic movement. They are his MAGA foot soldiers, also referred to as his boot lickers. These MAGA boobs don’t do anything of importance; they bow before him and say, “Yes, Sir” every time they see his mouth open to spew out more lies.
Trump has a serious problem. He can’t figure out how to do anything constructive, anything of substance. So, he does the only things he knows how to do: tear things down, destroy, manipulate, and carry on his agenda of retribution against his many enemies. As he brags about his many achievements, actually there are none, his head gets bigger and bigger until it almost bursts. He wants to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize badly, but does he think it will be given to a convicted felon?
“America the Beautiful” has been attacked in so many ways by this master of destruction that it is now out of sight. It is still the symbol of the once great country that America once was, and that belief must be reinstated and preserved forever. It will come back one day when this tyrant has gone too far and is forced out of office.
Now let’s talk about all the terrible, cruel things that this pseudo-president has done, which, at some time in the future, must be reversed.
ICE: the modern-day storm troopers arrived in America right out of the annals of Nazi Germany. With masks and without real police-type uniforms, they have been taking mostly immigrant-looking people off the streets without any excuse except for their looks. More and more America is looking like a police state.
The Supreme Court of today is no more than a subsidiary of the Trump presidency. In years past, “it was the pinnacle of the judicial branch, entrusted with the crucial responsibility of interpreting the Constitution and ensuring that justice is upheld across the nation. This esteemed court function was to serve as the ultimate authority on matters of law, grappling with complex legal issues that have far-reaching implications for society.” This was the primary responsibility of the highest court in the land. However, this court has now transformed itself from one that once interpreted Constitutional law into one that stipulates the law must conform to the wishes of the political entity to which it bends and bows—Trump and his Republican Party.
Today, we have those pretend justices, Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas, who don’t contribute anything to difficult court decisions. Still, they are very good at taking trips and receiving expensive gifts from their rich friends who want special favors in return. They are useless.
The one thing that the Trump administration is famous for is its terrible, widespread cruelty and intense hatred. How could these governmental officials deprive some 12 million Americans of the basic healthcare they badly need? There are so many other important governmental programs that have aided Americans in so many ways that are also being closed down, such as SNAP.
Remember USAID, the former US Agency for International Development, that Trump dismantled and cut off its funding right after he was elected?
It’s said that the agency was directly responsible for saving 90 million lives in two decades from diseases such as malaria and HIV/AIDS. It also dealt with humanitarian efforts, such as feeding malnourished children. Reports indicate that shutting down programs could result in 14 million preventable deaths by 2030.” What kind of moronic government would do this when it knows it will kill millions of people and a lot of kids?
This government, first Biden and now Trump, has been complicit in the Gaza genocide by continually sending powerful weaponry to Netanyahu, who has used them to slaughter thousands of Palestinians and their little children. When will some kind of very large group of nations in the world come together and give Israel a warning: “Stop now, or face a consortium of nations that will act to free Palestine?” This might risk a new war, but this genocide, this destruction of a society, can no longer be tolerated.
Then we have the Epstein Files involving this pedophile’s years of illicit sex with underage girls, the issue that has created a vast gulf between Trump and MAGA. This scandal has the possibility of ruining their close relationship that has existed for some time. MAGA doesn’t like pedophiles at all, but Trump doesn’t care. When questioned about Ghislaine Maxwell, he said “he wished her well” several times. Wished her well for what, helping Epstein in his sexual encounters?
When this Epstein travesty came onto the scene with the Wall Street Journal exposé, Trump panicked almost immediately and has continued to try to minimize his former relationship with Epstein, but it’s not working, and he is falling deeper and deeper into the chasm of shame.
What did those 77 million or so Americans think they were going to get when they voted for Trump, another Ronald Reagan, another JFK, or another FDR? Well. Instead of the modern-day version of any of those fine presidents, they got a convicted 34-count felon, a convicted sexual abuser, and a convicted fraudster. Did they believe that he was going to restore the belief in our Democracy and our Constitution and have the world marvel at what America has become under his leadership? No, they now must watch as this evader of the law goes about building his autocracy.
Which important issue is going to cause Trump a greater degree of grief before very long? Will it be the Epstein scandal when it’s determined that he was personally involved in some way, or will it be that the country will experience very high prices, inflation, and have the tariffs backfire? I think we will see both things happen, and Trump will probably lose what’s left of his mind.
Right now, Trump is using diversions such as military occupations in cities, retribution against his enemies, and other tactics to draw attention away from the Epstein scandal. But the problem is that his diversionary attempts are not working. But the more he tries to evade, the guiltier he looks.
Trump should never have been elected, and several million Americans made a terrible mistake. The only way that this mistake can be corrected is for the Democrats and the vast majority of over 330 million Americans to work ever harder to make his presidency meaningless and wipe out the entire Republican Party in the midterms. And, for those of his supporters who say it can’t be done, then the word for them is, “just watch it happen.”
And, when it happens, we will once again hear “America the Beautiful” ringing out all over our Democratic, Constitutional country.
