Ronnie Cummins was the founder and director of the Organic Consumers Association (OCA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to safeguarding organic standards and promoting a healthy, just, and sustainable system of agriculture and commerce. An activist, organizer, and writer since the 1960s, he worked on human rights, anti-war, anti-nuclear, labor, consumer, environmental, and sustainable agriculture campaigns. He passed away in Mexico on April 26, 2023. André Leu is the author of Poisoning Our Children: The Parent’s Guide to the Myths of Safe Pesticides. He is the international director of Regeneration International, a global network that promotes regenerative food, farming, and land-use systems that support healthy ecosystems, communities, and local economies. Leu is a former president of IFOAM–Organics International, the global umbrella organization for the organic sector, and currently serves as an IFOAM ambassador.
