President Trump could singlehanded kill the program...

Look how far we have actually fallen as a nation, as a culture for that matter.

First, Donald Trump has been a giant wake-up call that we can’t take democracy for granted.

“We are struggling to save the soul of America.”

The pristine reserve is home to the Gwich’in people, who call it “Iizhik Gwats’an Gwandaii Goodlit,” or, “the sacred place where life begins.”

“Dr. Gottlieb has also said he wants the FDA approval process to move faster, and that FDA has too high of a standard for safety.”

I suspect that, on returning to this eerie world of ours so many decades later, my mother might find it to be the ultimate caricature—a Trump presidency.

Did anyone believe a crass, greedy business tycoon, forever living on "other people's money," would not find a way to move from budget self-financing to accepting the big money modern elections require? Without tens or hundreds of millions eventually, Trump won't survive the big primaries against well-heeled, personally-insulted foes. And who expects Trump, a rich hypocrite (on so many other issues), to spend his cash when easy money is so available? Easier just to change the con artist's ploy about never being open to rank bribery.

The suffering of the Greeks is just like the suffering of ordinary Americans—the only thing that benefits is the profit margins of financial institutions. When will human life be of concern to corporate capitalists?
