"We are crushing the next generation with debt."

With Kaiser Permanente's recent announcement, it is now the second medical school in the United States to become tuition-free and "eliminate the financial barrier to achieving a medical degree."

The strike follows months of failed negotiations between the Los Angeles Unified School District and the teachers union to reach a deal for smaller class sizes, increased support staff along with pay raises.
