Robert Reich, Economist and former U.S. Secretary of Labor, shared on Facebook this week his confrontation with a Trump supporter. His response to the man’s reasons for supporting Trump is a priceless example of how to talk to Trump supporters.
Reich says that he approached the supporter after grabbing his morning coffee and seeing a Trump bumper sticker on the man’s car. Curious about his reasons for supporting Trump, he and the man discussed the following:
Reich is correct in pointing out the well-known fact of Trump inheriting his wealth (although the true amount of how much he inherited is still up in the air). And just recently, news broke of the nearly $900 million in tax breaks that Trump received while building his real estate empire.
