Donald Trump, 79 years old and in failing health, is starting to think about Heaven and if he can get in when he’s gone. He said, “I wanna try and get to heaven if possible. I’m hearing I’m not doing well. I am really at the bottom of the totem pole.”
Yes, he’s at the bottom, the very bottom of the totem pole. So, does he have any chance of getting there? Well, let me say this: if Trump wants to get into Heaven, I think that he would have to find a way to erase all the bad things he has done to try to destroy America’s democracy.
But I’m not the judge of what will happen; I can only document all the policies and actions he has done that have hurt people and this country so very badly, and then he will be judged by the Higher Power. So, here are many of those things that he has done for which he will be judged.
Trump is a 4-time convicted criminal and was also convicted twice for sexual assault of E. Jean Carroll. He has a very long record of sexual abuse. Remember his escapades with Stormy Daniels, the porn star? Also, when standing next to Billy Bush, he described being able to kiss and grope women because he was “a star”: “You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful—I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it, you can do anything … grab them by the pu—sy.
Trump initiated the Jan. 6 attack on the US Capitol and refused to try to stop it for hours. This from the AP: “In the days leading up to January 6, 2021, Trump pressured Pence to overturn President Joe Biden’s election victory as he presided over the ceremonial certification of the results. Pence refused, and when rioters stormed the Capitol, some chanted that they wanted to “hang Mike Pence.” We heard that Trump nodded in agreement.
Then, sometime after, Trump did the unthinkable and pardoned 1000 of the attackers. He didn’t care that they had killed some police officers and wounded many others because they had done what he had wanted.
How about Trump’s ongoing, very close relationship with Putin, the attacker of Ukraine, who refuses to talk about a ceasefire? Trump has the power to force Putin to negotiate but keeps allowing his great friend to continue to attack Zelensky’s country. Trump has said he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for his deplorable efforts. Shame on him.
Trump’s Beautiful Big Bill gives huge tax breaks to the rich and, in contrast, takes away Medicaid insurance from 17 million Americans. It is estimated that this move will force the closure of about 700 hospitals, and thousands of personnel will lose jobs, mostly in rural areas. This is cruelty of the highest order.
Trump is the master of threats and retribution. He has threatened colleges, law firms, and media companies to do what he says, and many have been forced to do it against their will. This is what an autocrat does.
He calls judges who rule against him terrible names and ignores laws he doesn’t like. He has the Supreme Court’s 6 out of 9 Republican justices taking his side.
He is ripping and tearing the foundations of our country. Instead of spending most of his time addressing and then solving America’s many problems. He spends valuable presidential time attacking others and firing those who won’t bow down to his demands.
He is sending National Guardsmen and the U.S. military into cities, first LA, then DC, and he is threatening to send them to Chicago. Instead of sending the scary, highly dangerous ICE police into blue cities, he should give those cities more funds for extra police and training, an intelligent solution.
RFK Jr, head of Health & Human Services, has no medical qualifications or experience and is firing knowledgeable doctors and managers. He is a quack, a total fake, with no medical credentials of any kind or the common sense it takes to manage. Those medical experts who have resigned are predicting that his lack of knowledge and dangerous decisions, especially on vaccines, will cause the deaths of millions of Americans.
Trump closed the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention when mass shootings were continuing to happen every single day across America. There are more than 400 million guns in America, and nutcases can easily figure out how to get them and then shoot kids in schools. Of 26 developed nations, America has the worst record of mass shootings—by far! And Trump doesn’t give a damn about how many kids and others get murdered.
How can anyone profess to be a Christian and yet strongly support this dangerous, criminal president who speaks and acts in every way that clearly indicates he cannot be headed to Heaven? When he approaches them, the gates will slam shut.
This is a question each of us needs to answer: Will we strongly support an anti-Christian, anti-Democracy, anti-Constitution president?
